Just arrived in Claremont this morning, making the drive from Tampa to visit my old friend Lemmy who always talked about the mountains and the sunsets when we worked together at an engineering firm. Well anyway, I arrived in town at about 7:00am this morning and there was Lemmy, sitting in his jeep and smiling that smile. Oh, right, this is a review about food and not a romance novel. Anyways, he hopped out and gave me a big hug and took me to breakfast - in a bus? Well it looked like a bus, but was an old diner off the main square called the Tumble Inn, and we did. Sat at the counter, ordered omelettes, drank coffee, joked with the staff, talked with what appeared to be a homeless man out front. Oh yes, back to the food. It was great diner fare, just the basics done very well with a homey touch. I doubt there are many places left like that. Lemmy said dinner would impress me more and asked me if I looked like a Common Man. I was perplexed, he laughed and pointed up at a building we had strolled by. He said it was the Common Man restaurant and that was where he was taking me for diner, but first a shower.

LOVE everything about this little authentic diner! Small, but there were plenty of seats on the day we arrived. A true old rail car diner. The food was very good. Worth a visit!

Wow breakfast! The Everything omelet is pretty much as it sounds. The home fries were delicious. Thumbs up all day!

Best child friendly place i've been to. The old lady that waited our table as well as all the staff were super nice and accommodating to our one and three year old. If you you have kids you will know what i'm talking about. Never thought I would ever write a review for a hole in the wall resto but their service was better than most of the more expensive places i have been too. I left there wowed and I will definitely go out of my way to come back. Btw food was good too and that's just a bonus.
